How much do shutters cost?
Shutters are priced according to the material used in the manufacture of the shutters and the width and height of the window opening.Specially shaped shutters are more expensive than our standard ranges. To get an idea of the cost, please click on our 'quick quote' facility.

How much light do louvred shutters blocked out?
Louvred Shutters are made with inner rebated edges to minimise the light penetration.However louvred shutters with adjustable louvres are not 100% blackout, but shutters are much more effective for light control than blinds.

What louvre size should I chose ?
The Louvre is the adjustable blade of a shutter.There are various sizes available :32mm, 47 mm 63 mm 89 mm amd 114 mm louvre. The 32mm louvre is only available in the Vancouver Range.The most commonly used sizes are the 47 mm and 63 mm louvres, but it will all depend on the size and location of the window.Samples are available to view at the survey stage.

What colours are available?
Seattle have 3 shades of white and creams,Phoenix and Portland have 7 whites and creams and 17 standard stains.Vancouver Range have natural Western Red Cedar options and 7 shades of white and creams. Custom colours are available in Dulux or Farrow & Ball paint at an additional cost.

Will a Surveyor come out to advise me on the various options for shutters?
Yes, we normally give our clients a quick quotation for the cost of shutters before we come out to complete a site survey. We bring our samples, colours and hinge options. We can advise at this stage, the number of shutter panels requied and how they fold away from the window opening.

How long does it take to order shutters ?
Our standard shutters take approximately 7 to 9 weeks from recepit of deposit. Specially shaped shutters take from 8 to 10 weeks from recepit of deposit.A home visit is required prior to placing an order.

What is the deposit required?
The deposit is 50% of the cost of the shutters with the balance due upon installation of the shutters.

Are the shutters Guaranteed ?
We offer a three year manutacturers' guartantee.
